I love Kosta Browne Pinot Noir. The first bottle I ever tried was years ago at Asiate Restaurant in the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in NYC. The dinning experience was five star. And the Kosta Browne Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir served with our meal blew everyone away that tasted it. Since then I was hooked on Kosta Browne wines. The winery has changed hands a few times since drinking my first bottle of this wine a decade ago. But the quality still seems intact. It is always concerning to me when wineries are sold, original wine makers leave and wine bottle production is increased. Almost always the wine suffers. This Russian River designation vineyard produced a full bodied slightly jammy yet elegant liquid candy like taste. Russian River produces some of if not the best Pinot Noir grapes in California. This wine proves me correct. Sweet cherry, strawberry, pomegranate and a hint of button mushroom notes. Well balanced. Join the Kosta Browne Club to get the best prices. Otherwise at retail you will probably pay double the release price. Try it you will like it.
