Riggins Crabhouse, Lantana. Every restaurant outside of Baltimore, Maryland claims to serve Real Maryland crab cakes. Yeah right. These imposters are a deep fried mess of shredded crab meat. Real Maryland crab cakes are always full lump lightly mixed with mayo and sometimes Old Bay and maybe an egg wash to make them glisten. Then they are broiled. Not deep fried! Riggins gets it right. Full lump, and baked. I knew the second they arrived at my table they were the real thing. Also the Maryland crab soup was also authentic and delicious too. Served with a crab claw on top. – Keith Ian
