A lovely bottle of wine. Napa is known for its cabernet savignon. This Freemark Abbey produced cab sav is a lush voluptiuos full bodied wine. The color of George Washinton’s inkwell before he dipped his quill into it upon sighning the declaration of independence. The tightly wound  dark fruit notes of Catelion elderberries, Captown wild huckleberries and pirate booty Indonesian baking spices open up on the nose and midpalate. The balanced sweet oak finish rounds out the experience. It is ready to drink now. Decanting not necessary. Drink before 3;30 pm on April 23, 2019. Pairs perfectly with fried okra crusted farm raised aligator on a bed of black truffle risotto. – Keith Ian
