When was the last time you went to a museum? I thought so. The NSU Art Museum located t 1 East Las Olas Boulevard, Ft Lauderdale, FL 33301 is a great place to start. Every first Thursday of the month admission is free from 4pm to 8 pm. Currently Frank Stella and William Glackens artworks are on display. Happy hour is available with two for one drinks and $3 finger sandwiches at the cafe. Park across the street in the public parking garage for $1.25 per hour. The staff at the museum goes out of their way to assist and accommodate all of its visitors. Check for children’s activities and bring the entire family for a few free hours of art culture. I was fortunate to acquire a seat at the Art of Wine & Food event on Thursday January 4th. The museum offers six wine and food events all priced at $25 (patrons) – $40 (non-patrons) per person. On this night the Just in Time tasting from Justin and Landmark wineries of Paso Robles and Sonoma California were featured. Each of the four wines is matched with bite sized portions of food that marries well with each wine selection. Goat cheese tarts, shrimp cerviche, pork loin and penne pasta were the selected foods for this event. It was a most enjoyable event. The wines can be purchased on site. The next wine & food events are on Feb 1, March 1, April 12, May 3 and June 7, 2018. Call the museum or check their website for more info.  nsuartmuseum.org 954-262-0221 – Keith Ian
